Tuesday, 7 March – Wednesday, 8 March 2023
What is USI?
The Union of Students in Ireland is the national students’ union which represents over 374,000 students in third-level education on the island of Ireland. It is a member organisation made up of students’ unions from both the north and south of Ireland.
What does affiliation to USI mean?
Students’ unions who are affiliated with USI pay affiliation fees and facilitate the implementation of the policy of USI. USI provides training to its members, representation, and support on a national level.
What do you pay?
€5 from each student’s student levy charge goes towards covering the cost of Maynooth Students’ Union’s membership within the Union of Students in Ireland.
When you go out to vote for your Executive and Student Senate, you will also be asked to vote on the following question:
“Should Maynooth Students’ Union remain an affiliated member with the Union of Students in Ireland?”
