Hello! Welcome to our brand new blog!
We here at LEAD are here to help YOU! Yes, you. With all of your political and civic needs, we want to create a student movement of informed, empowered and inspired students, who want to make a real change, whether it be within a Students’ Union, government or just in your daily lives. WE are the future!
LEAD is a brand new initiative, started right here in Maynooth, by students, for students.
What is LEAD you may ask?
- Leadership - We want to provide you with leadership opportunities, inspiration from leaders in different fields and we also want to highlight YOUR leaders from the SU, University, government and beyond so you can go to them for help, make sure they’re doing their job or even run yourself.
- Engagement - We want to increase engagement in all aspects of student political life. But it doesn’t need to be BORING! We wanna have good craic and build a student movement that students actually want to be part of. To do this we want to hold Fun and Creative events and volunteering opportunities which allow you to engage in the issues that matter to you and so we need your help!
- Awareness - Spreading awareness of important information you need to know through our Blog on MSU.ie and our social media pages @LEADIreland.
- Democracy - Highlighting how democracy works so you can feel confident in using it. From your Students’ Union to your government, we will show you how to take action on your issues
We are going to provide you with all the opportunities, information and inspiration you need so all you have to do... is LEAD!
LEAD News
This year we are excited to announce our newest venture: ‘LEAD News’. Here, we hope to inform and empower students with all the need to know information of the day. We are going to report on breaking news from the students’ union, to the government and beyond. We want to provide you with facts, insight and different points of view on various different topics that affect you as a student in Maynooth.
