Announcement: Work From Home Order - MSU

Statement from the MSU President:

Following the Work from Home order issued by the Government last week I have asked staff to conduct a Risk Assessment of our operation and I have concluded that the following changes will be made for both public and staff safety:

  • All staff who do not need access to the building for essential reasons will now work from home – this includes most of our representational services like our MSU Full-Time Officers.

  • All events and large scale in-person campaigns will be cancelled for the foreseeable future.

However, I have ensured that all essential student-facing services are fully operational for students on campus for as long as possible. This includes:

  • The MSU Info Centre Services

  • The MSU Club (Bar & Venue)

  • The MSU Londis Shop (in John Hume)

This is a very difficult, confusing and frustrating time for students and staff in Maynooth and across the country however, remember that your Student Union Officers continue to be available to you and are working to get clarity to you as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Liam Cosgrove
