NStEP
What is NStEP?
The National Student Engagement Programme (NStEP) is a collaborative initiative launched in April 2016 by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), and the Aontas na Mac Léinn in Éirinn (AMLÉ). NStEP empowers students to actively participate in shaping their educational experiences through meaningful partnerships with staff and institutions across Ireland.
What does NStEP do?
- Class Representative Training: Over 5,300 student representatives across Ireland have received NStEP training, with 99% recommending it to others.
- National Projects: Collaborative initiatives focusing on areas such as class rep recruitment, programme design, student feedback, and staff capacity building.
- Student Quality Assurance Reviewers: Training students to participate in institutional reviews, ensuring the student voice is integral to quality assurance processes.
