Is mise Amina, and I’ll be your Vice President Student Life and Deputy President of Engagement in Aontas Mac Léinn Mhá Nuad!

I love this place so much that I had to rerun and stay around for another year. That's right—I’m a returning officer, but unlike the other two I'm staying in the same role!

My job is a little different from the other officers. I'll be the fun one, encouraging a little bit of chaotic energy while organising all the events where you can switch off, make memories, and actually enjoy the full student experience (especially my fellow commuters). I'll also be looking after a lot of the Union's commercial partnerships and making sure we can keep bringing you the best opportunities and events.

A little bit about me: I'm originally from the middle of nowhere in Roscommon (and no, it's not near Ballina). I'm a proud francophone who somehow can't spell, despite completing an undergraduate degree in International Business and French. Some people might say I cheated... I say it's a skill issue. :) I also completed a postgraduate degree in Digital Marketing, so I am qualified!

I've been involved in the Union since first year, starting as an Academic Representative before becoming the Social Sciences Faculty Convenor, Taught Postgraduate Officer, and now Vice President Student Life for a second year. Safe to say, I've been around for a while!

Whether you have a question, an idea, a problem, or you're just looking for a bit of gossip and a chat, my door is always open. I can't wait to be your VP Student Life again and keep the good vibes, great events, and a healthy dose of chaos going all year.
