Full-Time Positions

Becoming a Full-Time Officer gives you the unique opportunity to make representing students your job, taking the experiences and ideas you have developed as a student and spending a year putting them into action. You’ll have the opportunity to lead campaigns, deliver the commitments you were elected on, advocate directly for students, work with University decision-makers and external organisations, and take responsibility for projects that can leave a lasting impact long after your term has ended. It is a unique leadership experience that will challenge you, develop you, and give you invaluable experience in advocacy, communication, governance, campaigning, and decision-making. There is no single path to becoming a Full-Time Officer, and you do not need to arrive with all the answers – your experience as a student, the changes you want to see, and your willingness to represent others are where it begins. Part-Time Positions

Becoming a Part-Time Officer is your opportunity to turn something you care about into action. Part-Time Officers are students just like you who take on a specific portfolio alongside their studies, bringing their own experiences, ideas, and priorities directly into the work of AMLMN-MSU. Whether you want to represent a particular community, raise awareness of an issue, organise campaigns, or make sure that students like you have someone speaking up for them, these roles give you the platform and support to make it happen. You’ll work alongside the Union’s Full-Time Officers as part of the Executive, helping to develop campaigns, initiatives, and activities throughout the year while remaining part of everyday student life. You don’t need years of experience or to already know everything about the Union – you just need the passion to get involved and the willingness to represent others.
