Your SU Services FAQs

Your SU provides you with many servcies to help you get the most out of student life. If your question isn't answered here you can call into the SU Info Centre or e-mail for help.

During the academic term-time the MSU Front Office opens from 9am - 6pm (5pm on Fridays). We do not close for lunch as we know students lunch times vary, therefore we are available all day for you. Summer hours are a bit more relaxed, however we are still open during weekdays for you (check the MSU Facebook or Student Centre page for opening hours).
Yes, we can process your Student Leap card here in the MSU Front Office. You will need to bring your student ID card with you when you call, as well as your €10 fee. You can also make a mobile application which is a much easier and faster way to get your Student Leap card. Visit to avail of this, then simply bring the code you receive into the MSU Front Office with you.

Yes, each year MSU employ student staff to help in our various areas (SU Front Office, SU Londis, SU Communications Team, SU Events, etc.,). We advertise for these positions in the Summer months, so if you are interested keep an eye on our MSU Facebook and web-pages.
At MSU we have our very own Bar and Venue right here on campus. This means that we can put on events almost every night of the week! Whether it’s a large ticketed event like the Summer Ball or live bands or DJs while you relax in the Bar, the SU has you covered! We always try to book student acts to play whenever we can so if you’re a budding DJ, or a band looking for work, drop in and make yourself known to the MSU Events Team.
Yes, you can top-up your Student Leap Card with us in the SU Front Office. In fact there are a number of new additional services in the Front Office designed to make life easier for you (phone top up, bill pay, etc.).
Yes, we understand here at Maynooth Students’ Union that you may not be in a position to collect your Student Leap Card in person. Student’s may be on placement and find it hard to attend the office themselves. You can send someone in on your behalf as long as they have the required documentation to support your application (your current Student Card, Student Leap Card mobile application code, €10 fee).
Yes, of course you can. As long as you can provide the supporting documentation (current Student Card, completed application form/or on-line verification code and €10 fee) we can facilitate you.
Yes, the SU Front Office provides a parcel point for our students and staff. If you want to get a parcel delivered/returned/sent, simply register with Parcel Connect ( and select Maynooth Students’ Union as your point of reference.
Yes, the SU Front Office has a credit card facility, so there is no need to stand in the rain outside the Science building anymore to get cash!
Yes, all you have to do is purchase a printing card from us and you can photocopy the hardcopy document you need to.
Yes, if you are a student that requires a space for a group work assignment or meeting, you can call into the SU Front Office and if there is a meeting room available for the date and time you request we can reserve the room for you.
Yes, there’s loads! You could get involved with our MSU Elected Officers as they prepare for events and campaigns, you can help us out with our FREE Coffee Morning’s, you can help us on our Community Litter Picks, the list goes on.
